It’s not every day that a company wins two prestigious international design awards within a single calendar year. That achievement alone would probably be proof enough of the levels of creativity in design and perfection in manufacture that have been achieved by MVee Haute Jewellery. But when one discovers that those awards have been won in two separate countries, outside of the one where MVee is based, and in two different continents, it further strengthes the realisation that one has come across a creative team whose excellence is indeed universal.
In mid 2011, MVee was the winner in the international section of the Solitaire Design Awards held in conjunction with India’s largest trade fair, IIJS. The winning piece was from the company’s Fleur d’ete collection and captured the beauty of the feature flower, Angel’s Trumpet using brilliant white diamonds with pink sapphires and rubelite drops.
It was the same combination of breathtaking white diamonds with distinctive coloured stones that brought MVee honours at the recently concluded AGTA show in the US. This time it was a dazzling coloured stone ring paved with white diamonds, blue sapphires and a moonstone of 17.62 cts that caught the judges’ fancy.
MVee is part of the Aspire group, established in 1999 with a vision to emerge as an acclaimed manufacturer of luxury jewellery. Mvee has also a special range called Mvee Hot Couture. This line was launched at the Las Vegas Couture Show in 2011 and targets very high end customers with very specific tastes and who are looking for rare styles and stones. Most recently the brand unveiled two new lines for the Winter – from the Galerie and Glamour & Attitude collection.
The brand is now distributed in 30 different countries and retailed in exclusive, up-market jewellery boutiques and chain stores across Europe, US, Middle East and Asia. The company is currently focusing on the Chinese and Asian market, and had a soft launch in China in 2011.
The striking design themes have also been taken forward at trade fairs where the company is present – and MVee cocktail party themed booths attracted a lot of attention at the Hong Kong shows last year, while its castle design caught the eye in the year before that.
