U.S. International Diamond Week to see key delegations from the world

The U.S. International Diamond Week scheduled in Israel between August 26 to 29, 2013, is expected to see a large group of diamond buyers from Hong Kong and Mainland China, headed by Conroy Cheng Chi-Cheng of Chow Tai Fook. The delegation will feature representatives from leading diamond trading and jewelry firms including Chow Sang Sang Jewellers, Kunming Trading, Lee Hen, amongst others.

Chi-Cheng, director of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited, which owns the Chow Tai Fook jewelry will be guest of honor at the opening ceremony. The participation of this delegation is much being looked forward to by the Israel Diamond Exchange.

This event is also expected to host buyer groups including one from the Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) of New York, headed by the co-initiator of the Diamond Week, DDC's president Reuven Kaufman; from India organized with the support Vipul Shah, the chairman of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC); Anoop Mehta, president of the Bharat Diamond Bourse of Mumbai, and Vasant Mehta, former GJEPC president and vice president of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association; from Russia, accompanied by Moscow Diamond Bourse's president Alex Popov and various individual buyers from across the world.

The event will feature over 350 Israeli diamond manufacturers and traders, offering polished diamonds over $1 billion. The event will also be an opportunity for the international buyers to explore the bourse's 2,000 square meters trading floor.
