Tanishq’s new jewellery collection is inspired by the Taj

A jewellery collection inspired by the Taj monument in Agra, India, has been launched by Tanishq. The collection is named 'Taj Collection' and offers three uniquely inspired creative interpretations - Taj Timeless, Taj Contemporary and Taj Avant Garde. Tanishq has crafted the jewellery keeping in mind women with the aptitude for modern tastes but a strong association with tradition.

The designs of the jewellery pieces draw inspiration from various facets of the Taj, its locale, its architecture, miniature paintings and the play of light on the façade of the monument.

Creations of ‘Taj Timeless’ are classic in appeal, and made applying the traditional 'takkar' method of jewellery making to create jewellery of 'Panch ranga meena' and Kundan Polki enamel work in designs of iconic Mughal Era jewellery. The ‘Taj Contemporary’ collection offers diamond jewellery in aesthetic design motifs, delicate textures incorporating the sculpture aesthetics of the Taj.

The Taj Avant Garde collection is made with alternate materials embedded with precious and semi-precious stones, to express a futuristic appeal of the Taj.
