The renowned watch and jewellery show, which opened its doors on Tuesday with 50 per cent bigger space, has world's heaviest gold ring on display for the first time at the show.

As Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah, explains, “We are one of the pioneers in the Middle East and Africa and our show is growing year-on-year. We are the only organiser in the world that has jewellery show twice in a year. It's B2B and B2C both. Fluctuation in gold rates will attract more buyers this year at the show.”

The 39th MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show has around 70 companies from India and also another 28 are from Italy. The event is showcasing gold & diamond jewellery, diamonds, precious stones, pearls and watches from leading jewellers from across the world, offering special deals on high-value purchases, exclusive National Pavilions from India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore & Italy, and customisation opportunities, among other.

As Saif Mohammed Al Midfa further elaborates, "The autumn edition of MidEast Watch & Jewellery Show has always been seen as a platform to kick-start a season of sales for jewellers. The market is conducive for a rise in demand for gold and diamond jewellery, given the low gold prices, and the beginning of the festival season for several expatriate communities.”
