Antwerp-based diamond company Rosy Blue undertook another initiative towards sustainability, having recently planted 3,000 trees over 1-acre land in Malle, Antwerp, and intends to contribute to the environment in Antwerp. The task was completed in co-operation with the Flemish organisation BOS + and the non-profit organisation International Association of Human Values (IAHV).

On Sunday, December 14th, approximately 30 IAHV volunteers planted the trees sponsored by Rosy Blue. Five native tree species were chosen to create a diverse and beautiful forest: oak, maple, elm, alder and beech. BOS +, an organisation dedicated to conserving and increasing forests in Flanders and beyond undertook operations of the tree plantation. Young IAHV volunteers physically planted the trees.

Through this co-operation, Rosy Blue hopes to raise awareness amongst young people and highlight the importance of ecology for future generations.

Rosy Blue NV has been operating in Antwerp since 1973 and grew from a modest, one-man business to a leading company in the diamond industry. Throughout all its activities, the company has always strived to fulfill a pioneering role, not only in the field of diamond manufacturing and trading but also in the area of corporate social responsibility. The founding families have always strived to make meaningful and enduring contributions to the communities where they work and live. Rosy Blue has been engaged in environmental conservation since 2010 and seeks to reduce its global carbon footprint through various means such as making its operations more energy efficient.
