Rio Tinto launches 2010 Argyle Pink Diamond Tender

According to Rio Tinto, its 2010 Argyle Pink Diamond Tender is exceptional for deeper colour saturation seen in the stones than before, which include 55 pink diamonds recognized for the depth of their colour. The company has launched the tender and has slated a viewing beginning August 22 in Australia and will later feature in Mainland China for the first time, in September.

The highlights of the tender include a 2.02-carat, round, brilliant, fancy, vivid purplish pink diamond named ‘Argyle Mystra’, a 1.43-carat, fancy purplish red square-shaped diamond – ‘Argyle Ava’ and a 0.50-carat, fancy purplish red, round-shaped diamond. The names given to the diamonds are drawn from the tender collections theme of "Earth Magic."

The tender viewing will also been taken to Hong Kong, New York in the year.
