Russian diamond manufacturer Kristall-Smolensk created the replica in 2012, to mark its 250th anniversary. Alrosa is helping bring the replica to feature at IDWI. The value of the crown stands at around $20 million, reports say.
Alrosa will also be participating at the IDWI with a display of large and unusual polished and rough diamonds, and hold a diamond tender of rough and polished diamonds of between 10 and 199 carats. Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov will be a guest of honor of IDWI, and will open the new International Tender Center in the Israel Diamond Exchange.
The crown will be exhibited between February 13 – 14, 2017. The Crown exhibit has travelled across Russia, apart from an exhibition dedicated to Catherine the Great at the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam, as per reports.
