In an address during the inauguration of Hari Krishna’s new diamond polishing unit, PM Modi said that he wants India to be known for its jewellery internationally.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Hira Bourse SEZ at Icchapur village to inaugurate a new diamond polishing unit of Hari Krishna Exports Private Limited. In the presence of more than 10000 people which included Guests and employees of the company, Shri Narendra Modi cut “Ribbon” to mark the inauguration of the new factory which is a perfect blend of Men and Machinery. He also planted “Vishwas No Vadlo” ( Tree of Faith” ) to mark the faith on the company for its various activities including environment protection.

On this occasion Shri Narendra Modi remembered and praised the leaders of land Late Shri Morarji Desai for progress of economy and Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for changing the political thinking of modern India.

For the Gem and Jewellery Industry, he insisted to go for “Designed in India” alongwith “Make In India” so that traditional designs of Jewellery of India can be promoted and marketed in the world and for that, Gujarat has to lead,  not only in India but in the world.

“We have to create products that will attract consumers. We have to work towards marketing jewellery in a better way. Savjibhai Dholakia has expanded his business not just in Gujarat, but whole of India and internationally also, the rest of the industry should follow his path,” PM said.

Prime Minister’s visit to Israel in July will be a significant move for the industry. He will do so on his way back to India from the G20 summit in Hamburg. This visit to Israel will be a milestone in further strengthening the relationship both the countries share.

“After such a long time, I am meeting all the three generations of Hari Krishna Exports and it is my honour. Everybody must be thinking, I started early in the morning and I must be tired, but after seeing this family, all my tiredness has vanished,” the PM concluded.

The Hi-Tech Diamond factory will provide food to 50000 needy people at its NGO and will plant saplings of more than 20 lakh trees.
