Okavango plans to sell roughs on long-term contract basis

A new system of testing diamonds is being considered by the Okavango Diamond Company, as per reports. It plans to sell rough diamonds by term contracts in 2017, as per reports.

The company expects to test the new system by next February following requests for committed supply arrangements. It would be possible for buyers to bid for committed supply over a three-cycle sales period. The company intends to test the program on select parcels and also continue with its regular auctions.

The company has diamond assets in Botswana.
