Majestic Cascade of the Raindrop Collection from Harakh

Harakh Mehta designer of high jewellery brand Harakh grew up in Western India, an area bathed in sunlight. With a name that means joy, Harakh has made its purpose to spread joy through his designs. Coming from a large community of diamond merchants and jewelers, Harakh draw his inspiration from the vast Indian countryside but also family gatherings and his expertise from his background.

Growing up on the windward side of the country, Harakh has witnessed the large amount of relief rainfall every year as a child during the monsoons.

He recalls expecting this period of the year with much eagerness; especially when the rain made itself desired when he was 9 and decided to dance underneath the rain as soon as it started to show itself rather heavily.

By designing this collection, Harakh wanted to recreate the magic he felt while being drenched in the falling rain.

Each piece of this sumptuous set features a magnificent arrangement of diamonds combining both pear and baguette shaped ones.  The inspiration of this collection aimed at resembling cascading rain drops.  

Harakh designs each piece assigning it with a deeper meaning than just aesthetics: a soul connected to meaningful connection that advocates wellbeing.   

The designer strongly believes in spiritualism and grants it a considerable role in his life. With each piece, comes a spirit card with a specific spiritual exercise to practice. The brand’s ethos relies on spreading joy through every piece of his collections. For the designer, rain provided him such a feeling and he wanted the collection to convey this emotion.
