Lucapa Diamond Company announced having identified confirmed kimberlite (L259)at its Lulo project located in Angola, as per reports. The Kimberlite L259 as per the company ‘could be a primary source of the large alluvial diamonds being mined at Mining Block 8, which include rare D-colour Type IIa gems and fancy colours’, reports add.

Also, there has been a ‘significant expansion of the alluvial gravels at Mining Block 8, which has been a prolific source of large special diamonds (> 10.8 carats) and fancy colours and will remain the focus of future alluvial mining production operations at Lulo’, the company noted.
