Kirtilals, a company delving in diamond and jewellery, has launched a mobile Solitaire Lab, aimed to keep the consumer more informed about a diamond and thus make informed purchases, reports say. The Lab service informs the consumer about the cut, quality, symmetry of the diamond for the buyer, with which the buyer can be more aware when making a diamond purchase or knowing the value of diamonds already owned.

The company notes this is the first such initiative between a jeweller and consumer, reports say. A consumer is already informed about the quality of a diamond through the widely used diamond certification process. This Lab service further enhances the knowledge of the buyer informing about cut, symmetry, and fluorescence, reports say. The equipment in the Solitaire Lab includes a Diamond Analyser Machine, the Sarin Machine, and the Fluorescence Machine. The Lab is built within a caravan which would roam across Kirtilals branches.

Kirtilals is allowing customers to grade and test their stones for free at the Lab, as per reports.
