James Campbell steps down as non-executive director at Stellar

James Campbell is stepping down from his position as non-executive director at Stellar Diamonds plc. The company announced the appointment of Liviu Meran to the Board as a non-executive director.

Liviu Constantin Meran, has previously worked as a Senior Treasury Accountant at CUPROM Corporation and as Chief Financial Officer at SC Foradex SA. He further became Financial Manager and later General Manger of Foradex Corporation. Foradex Invest SRL, the holding company of Foradex Corporation, is a 23 percent shareholder of Stellar.

Peter Daresbury, Chairman said: “Foradex Invest is a significant shareholder of Stellar and Liviu’s presence on the Board will further consolidate this support. The Board looks forward to working closely with Liviu and Foradex as Stellar pursues its strategy of developing significant kimberlite diamond resources in Guinea and Sierra Leone into production. On behalf of the Board I would also like to thank James for his dedicated service and support over the years and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

Mr Meran does not currently hold any other directorships and has held directorships of SC FORADEX SA (Liquidated in 2011) and FORADEX WEST AFRICA in the five years preceding his appointment at Stellar. He is not currently beneficially interested in the issued share capital of the Company and was introduced to the Company through its substantial shareholder Foradex Invest SRL.
