Jaipur Watch Company transcends the magic of Ballet into watches

Catherine de Medici, the Queen of France was an avid lover of ballet and this helped the art flourish in the courts of France, under her Majesty’s influence. Most of the dancers were amateur noblemen who offered a political purpose to the act. These acts were extremely lengthy, elaborate and depicted the country’s wealth and power. The costumes being avant-garde, unfortunately restricted their movement of fluidity.

Over a period of centuries the ballet dance form has seen many changes in terms of costume, dance movements, duration of the act and screenplay. Even the costumes have seen a much required transformation from long tulle dresses and gowns to tutu’s, corsets, embellished body suits and figure hugging tights which in turn help the ballerina in her dance movements.

Dance is an integral form of art which is celebrated in a country like India over thousand of centuries. A country like ours dances to any occasion, be it a festival, wedding, birth of a child or any other joyous occasion. Special festivals are held where dancers mastering in Indian dance forms, perform and enthral the audience by their performance. However the new crop of generation is attracted towards more contemporary style and this has raised a tremendous interest in Ballet. Ballet lessons are best when usually started young, as it helps build one’s, poise, stance, posture, balance and brings in a form of discipline in one’s life.

Inspired by this art form of dance, Jaipur Watch Company has recreated this magic of ballet into beautiful and stunning watches, representing the various movements and positions of Ballerina like the relevé with an attitude derriere, a contemporary ballet leap and deep pliés. The dial is embedded with these dancing dolls figurines in coloured Swarovski crystals in 18K rose Gold and the bezel is augmented with dusty pink Swarovski stones crafted in stainless steel. The timepiece comes with a bright pink leather strap in a Quartz movement and is water resistant upto 3ATM.

The collection also comes in Platinum colour with White, Blue and Yellow leather wrist belts.
