Israel to set up special pavilion at HK show

The Israeli diamond industry is planning to have a major presence at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show with a special Israel Diamond Pavilion, sponsored by the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) where a total of 37 leading Israeli diamond manufacturers and exporters exhibiting from March 6 - 9, 2006. The Israel Diamond Pavilion is located in Hall 5, Aisles D,E,F,G and Annex.

IDIs information booth, which will offer background on the Israeli industry, as well as details on the exhibitors, is in Hall 5 - F 21. A site has been launched which will enable buyers to visit the pavilion virtually before the fair. The mini-site includes contact details of all Israeli exhibitors, as well as a map indicating their location at the show.

Israel Diamond Institute Chairman Simcha Lustig said that the Hong Kong diamond and jewelry sectors have developed longstanding trade relations with the Israeli industry. He stressed that this area represents a major growth market for Israeli diamond exports in the future. "While weve been very active in Hong Kong, we have only tapped a small part of the potential. Israels diamond sales to China are growing every year and may one day surpass every other export market. As a part of China, Hong Kong is well positioned to serve this market," he said.
