Korn expressed his gratitude on being elected to serve the diamond industry in this capacity, and that he would address the most pressing issues facing the diamond manufacturers in Israel. He identified issues like ‘financing is an acute challenge; we will make every effort to expand the sources of financing for the Israeli industry; strengthening the Israel diamond center ‘by bringing back part of the manufacturing which is now done abroad’; ‘achieve a fair and suitable tax agreement with the Israeli authorities.’
