Gold jewellery exports also saw a jump of 28 percent to US$ 679.47 million.
The country’s overall gross exports of the gem and jewellery sector in November 2014 increased 16 percent, reports say.
From the period April to November 2014, India’s polished diamond exports dropped 7.7 percent (on y-o-y basis), while its rough diamond imports rose 8.51 percent in value and dropped 8.3 percent in volume. Cumulative gold jewellery exports in the said months rose from US$ 4.98 billion last year to US$ 6.42 billion in the current year.
