Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai, an initiative of Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJEPC), has begun a comprehensive and intensive training using state-of-the-art resources encompassing qualified and trained faculty and equipment, supported by audio-visual techniques to encourage keen learners to become professionals in the gem and jewellery industry, . The minimum eligibility starts from SSC onwards.

This academic season, IIGJ offers a plethora of academic courses in jewellery design and related subjects.

Mr. Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC, said, “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has stated his vision to make India a global diamond and jewellery hub by 2022 (India’s 75th anniversary of Independence) and IIGJ will play a strategic and significant role in nurturing the future of the gems and jewellery sector. With Maharashtra Government supporting initiatives such as the jewellery park and gems & jewellery university, successful graduates from IIGJ can access several career opportunities. IIGJ is as important as the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras and International Skills Centres to offer specialized skills to the youngsters of India.”
