IDE welcomes 76 new members

IDE President congratulates the members and elucidates strength of the industry

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) welcomed 76 members in a ceremony recently held in the presence of IDE President Yoram Dvash, IDE Honorary President Yair Sahar, IDE Deputy President Hezy Bloom, industry leaders, bourse directors and many guests, as per reports.

Congratulating the members, IDE President Yoram Dvash also elucidated on the strength and potential of the diamond industry, highlighting various developments like 112 members being accepted last year, IDE recently hosting the directors of Diamdel International, who congratulated the IDE’s soon to be launched Trading Center. The new members were also briefed on the bigger advertising budgets worldwide, visible improvements in the global markets – China improving with rise in sales ahead of the Chinese New Year, improvement in US, DPA globally investing $6 million in 2015, $12 million in 2016, and plans to spend $50 million in 2017, as per reports. Yoram Dvash welcomed the new members to make the most at the forthcoming International Diamond Week (IDWI).

Committee Head for New Members Herzl Sitton guided the new members ‘not to give free credit to people you don’t know’.

The ceremony was officiated by IDE VP Israel Vanachovsky.
