ICA announces 7th ICA International Poster Competition

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) has launched the 7th ICA International Poster Competition (IIPC), dedicating it to promoting coloured gemstones. Chairman of Organizing Committee of the competition and ICA Ambassador to Israel, Yehuda Kassif, issued the call for poster designs.

The poster competition is being organized in connection with the ICA Congress slated in Changsha, China from May 12 to 16, 2013. During the Congress, all poster entries will be exhibited inviting ICA members and congress delegates to vote on the designs. The winning four posters will be announced at the Congress gala dinner. ICA will also publish the posters in its publications and online. The top three winners will be awarded cash prizes: 1st prize -US$2,000 - 2nd prize – US$1,500, 3rd prize – US$1,000.

ICA intends the competition to be a platform encouraging its members and members of the colored gemstone community, art students, and graphic designer to explore creative narrations of the grandeur of gemstones. The ICA has been receiving an increased interest in participation to its poster competition over the years, with designers from 35 countries submitting up to 150 entries for judging each year. ICA has declared February 1st , 2013, as the last date for poster entries.

The 15th ICA Congress will underline the importance of Greater China and other Asian countries for gemstones, and will explore the tradition of producing, cutting and trading in gemstones.
