Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair concludes on a good note

This year’s edition witnessed 20 percent unprecedented visitor growth

Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl and Gem Fair (HJF 2016) organised by UBM India, India's leading exhibition organizer, concluded its 9th edition at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Novotel last week. It was organized between June 4th to 5th June.

The show was validated as an industry platform with the presence of Chief Guest, Shri Bonthu Ram Mohan, Mayor – Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and other key dignitaries along with key dignitaries, Ms. Jittima Nakamano, Consul (Commercial) of Royal Thai Consulate General and the Director of Thai Trade Center, Mr. G V Sreedhar, Chairman, All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation, Mr. Mahendra Tayal, President, Hitech City Jewellers Manufacturers Association and Mr. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, UBM India at the inauguration of the show.

With over 100 brands, HJF 2016 witnessed over 20 percent unprecedented visitor growth as compared to its previous editions. Participation at the event included over 100 jewellery manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, importers, exporters, diamond and gemstone suppliers and representatives from trade and government organizations.

Diamonds, pearls, gemstones, studded jewellery, exquisite South Indian gold jewellery including Victorian, Nizam and Antique Jewellery collection displayed by over 40 manufacturers from Hyderabad and surrounding regions, which stole the show this year, were exhibited. Latest machinery used in the manufacturing process and other related products and services were also on display.

For the first time, this edition of HJF witnessed the Telangana & AP Retail Jewellers Awards 2016 ( 4th June ) , a unique initiative that honoured the best in the retail jewellery business of the states. A trophy and a certificate of contribution to the industry was presented to the selected companies. The Telangana & AP Retail Jewellers Awards 2016 received 150 nominations in 5 categories. The awards were followed by a fashion show by some of the most talented designers of the country.
