Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2007 is reported to be good for the precious trade.
Diamond dealers of Israel and Belgium are satisfied with the sales at the show, though Indian manufacturers are complaining due to higher prices of rough. Polished prices remain the same while polished goods maintain the impetus of sales. Many of the exhibitors praised the business opportunities and also suggested the show to be better than those at Vicenza and Tucson this year.

Besides, a massive list of exhibitors several delegations from world over have visited the show. Antique, vintage and jade jewellery sections have attracted people while informative seminars on topics like pearl grading, jewellery trends in Europe, antique jewellery and tapping the Indian jewellery market summoned an attentive audience. Hemant Shah (convener- growth, marketing & business development), GJEPC was the speaker on the topic �Gem & Jewellery industry- Tapping the Indian market�. He stated various challenges and opportunities floating in the Indian precious industry.

Moreover, ICA and some sponsored dinners & cocktails served the exhibitors with potential business networking prospects, in addition provided an entertainment platform.
