The discussion was led eminent industry professional Hemant Shah, Independent consultant to GemAtlas, who spoke about the changing trends within the Gems and Jewellery Industry. Talking about the significance of development within businesses, Hemant Shah quoted “We are adapting to change in all spheres of our life, why not bring change into the way we do business? The business needs to keep pace with changes in technology as well as changes in desires and expectations of consumers.” He dwelled on the importance of a platform such as GemAtlas, which throwing light its importance, Shah believes that GemAtlas will bring value to everyone from miners to retailers, covering all necessary branches.

The conversation was opened by a welcome speech from Praveen Shanker Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC followed by a question answer round among professionals and students from the Gem and Jewellery industry. The seminar provided a vision for the future of the Gem and Jewellery Industry as a whole, emphasising on the potential of e-commerce and online transacting, which would aid improvements in business prospects within the industry.
