An opportunity for artisans of Jaipur opened up, following a tri-party agreement signed between the Gem and Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ), and Jewellery Association, Jaipur (JAJ). The initiative is under RPL programme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Scheme.

According to the agreement, IIGJ – Jaipur will be the RPL training facilitator, JAJ will be the Mobilization Agency and GJSCI as Project Implementation Agency (PIA). GJSCI has committed to certify a minimum of 10,000 artisans within the next 6 months.

The MoU was signed by GJSCI chairman Prem Kumar Kothari, IIGJ principal Dhiraj Kumar and Jaipur Jewellers Association president Nirmal Bardiya, as per reports.
