GJEPC organizes India Pavilion at the Hong Kong International Diamond, 
Gem and Pearl show 2017

The India Pavilion at the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl show is being organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the apex body of the Indian gems and jewellery industry. The Pavilion features from 28 February to 4th March 2017 at AsiaWorld-Expo and at Hong Kong International Jewellery Show from ¬2nd to 6th March, 2017 at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

GJEPC Chairman Praveenshankar Pandya said, “The Hong Kong Jewellery Show is one of the finest in the industry that caters to the key markets of Asia. Hong Kong is the 2nd largest buyer of Indian Gem & Jewellery exports in the world and therefore, participation at this platform becomes imperative. India Pavilion has the best companies handpicked by the Council who will showcase India’s capabilities in terms of best diamond cuts and jewellery design, best cuts and designing jewellery. I hope, as every year, this time too we see fruitful results for our participants.”

This year, the India Pavilion features the top Indian manufacturers and retailers exhibiting a wide array of diamonds, gems & jewellery. Asia World Expo (AWE) which will host Hong Kong Gems, Diamond & Pearls Show 2017 will have India Pavilion presence in Hall No. 2 & 7 wherein 33 exhibitors will showcase loose diamonds in different cuts & shapes, and Hall no. 11 with 22 exhibitors will showcase gemstones in varied hues and colours. India Pavilion for finished jewellery comprising of 38 exhibitors at Hall 5E & Hall 5CON of Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2017 is organised at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

India’s total gem and jewellery exports stood at US $ 39 billion between April 2015 – March 2016, out of which a staggering US $ 11,003 million export were to Hong Kong. Cut and polished diamonds exports accounted for US$ 7846.15 million; Gold jewellery at US$ 1,273 million whereas coloured gemstones recorded exports worth US$ 225.61 million.
