The Fair met with encouraging participation, of around 40 companies and 300 job seekers, who interacted with one-on-one sessions and gained insights at the panel discussions.

The Fair was held in association with the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) and the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ). The participating companies included diamond manufacturers Amore Jewels, Pratham International and Krishna Jewellery; jewellery manufacturers Dwarka Das Seth International, Kaya Jewels and Raksha Enterprises; and retailers Bholasons Jewellers and Khanna Jewellers. The job opportunities included fields from grading, merchandising, sales, marketing, finance and communications.

“As a public-benefit organization, our Institute seeks to positively contribute to the Indian gem and jewellery industry through its education programs and lab services. Career Fair is another GIA program that supports the trade by showcasing a new pool of talent,” said Nirupa Bhatt, managing director of GIA in India and the Middle East.

The Fair hosted a panel discussion entitled “Gems & Jewellery Industry: A Sunshine Sector," featuring panelists Anurag Saxena, Jt.
