GIA honors graduating students of its Graduate Diamonds (GD) course in Surat

Students of GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Graduate Diamonds (GD) course were honoured with diplomas at the graduation ceremony held at the Institute’s classroom at the Surat Diamond Association Premises, Surat, on June 20. It was presided by Mr. Jayantibhai Narola, Director, Shree Ramkrishna Group, who also heads the entire rough purchase and diamond manufacturing process in the company.

While presenting the students with their diplomas, Mr. Narola also shared advise from his decade of experience in the purchase and manufacturing business. “The diamond industry is growing at a tremendous rate and GIA is helping us develop the expertise to grow our business,” he said. “Education is vital for aspiring gem and jewellery professionals to succeed. Congratulations to all of you.”

The GD Diploma equips students with comprehensive knowledge of GIA’s International Diamond Grading System™ , an in-depth training in the 4Cs (Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carat weight) of diamond quality, advanced gemmological techniques including how to detect and identify synthetics, simulants, treatments and fracture-filled diamonds, equipping them to be prospective employers. The course is taught through both classroom lessons and hands-on learning through regular market visits.
