GIA will conduct complimentary seminars at the Jewellery Arabia 2016 Show in Bahrain from Nov. 22 – 26. GIA representatives will also be available at Meeting Room D, Hall 1 to discuss the Institute’s education opportunities and laboratory services. 

GIA experts will offer attendees – ranging from the trade to consumers and connoisseurs – insight into different aspects of gems and jewellery through daily 45 minute seminars. As the creator of the famous 4Cs of diamond quality and the 7 Pearl Value FactorsTM, GIA is considered the world’s foremost authority in gemmology. Seminar topics will include diamond color on the D-to-Z scale, fluorescence in diamonds, pearl history and its value factors, synthetic diamonds and ruby sources.     

“GIA has been the education and laboratory provider for visitors of Jewellery Arabia since 2010,” said Nirupa Bhatt, managing director of GIA in India and Middle East.“This exhibition provides agreat platform to spread awareness about lab services and gemmological education.” 

GIA conducts regular courses in major trade centres throughout the Gulf region, including Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates. The Institute’s courses focus on diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, jewellery design, retail and more. GIA’s intake station in Dubai offers grading services for diamonds, coloured stones and pearls to consumers and members of the trade across the Middle East.
