Day 3: Gold continues to rule at IIJS Signature

Overall, 8th edition of IIJS Signature 2015 was an average show so far. However segment wise, gold segment was the most moved segment as compared to jewellery and loose stones. While jewellery did better, loose stones did not fare good as compared to the last year’s show.

Day 3 had fewer footfalls majorly because of the ongoing World Cup, echoed many exhibitors.

“There are not many new designs. Timing is not right to stock up. Besides, liquidity is the major concern right now,” said Rangesh Banka, one of the buyers at the show.

The B2B shows serves as a platform for networking and create new business relations for future and this purpose has been met by many of the exhibitors as there were genuine customers walking in. However, the footfall was less as factors like timing of the show coinciding with three other international shows (Dubai, Hong Kong and Bangkok); wedding season being already over; wrong time for stocking up affected the show so far.
