Coins, jewellery from the era of Alexander the Great discovered in Northern Israel

The valuables date back almost 2,300 years ago

Valuables of the era of Alexander the Great, and believed to be 2,300 years old, were recently discovered by explorers in Israel’s Galilee region, reports say. The collectibles include silver coins and jewellery, hidden in the cave, which could have been hidden at the time of unrest and uncertainty when Alexander died, as per the Israel Antiquities Authority, reports say. Following the discovery of these initial valuables, the antiquities authorities explored the site and discovered more artefacts, dating even further to over 6,000 years old, reports say.
