Alrosa’s sales touch around $2.8 billion in eight months of 2010

At the end of the period between January to August 2010, Alrosa achieved combined sales of rough and polished diamonds worth around $2.8 billion. In the same period last year its sales of rough diamonds valued $1.34 billion. The company also expected profits in the said eight months of this year was at $184 million (RUB 5.63 billion), from around a $300 million loss in 2009.
