In late February, 2015, processing plant No.14 owned by the Aikhal Mining and Processing Division, which is a business unit of ALROSA, recovered a diamond of 76.07 carats. The fact of extraction of this diamond is named in honor of 70 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War – the substantial part of World War II.

The diamond was brought to grass from the Yubileynaya kimberlite pipe. This crystal has octahedral shape, transparent, with yellowish hue. There are small inclusions of olivine in its periphery; its superficial part contains discal crack filled with graphite and sulphide.

According to experts from ALROSA’s United selling organisation, this stone may be valued at more than $430 thousand.
