7th Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair planned for 2016

The 7th edition of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair is slated between 31st January to 2nd February, 2016. This 7th International Trade Fair is dedicated exclusively to diamonds offering the world’s most competitive pricing. Almost 100 leading diamond companies are expected to exhibit, with stones of a large variety all under one roof – from D Flawless to SI diamonds and natural fancy color diamonds.

The event is a reflection of the relation Antwerp holds with diamonds and underlines the “Diamonds love Antwerp” slogan. AWDC notes that confidence is the 5th ‘C’ when it comes to buying a diamond and as such only Kimberley Process certified rough diamonds enter Antwerp.

The Antwerp Diamond Fair is a 21st century exchange platform, committed to the future thanks to its research for excellence, ethics for sustainable investments. It is also the opportunity to meet industry counterparts gain a market understanding and be part of networking even at ‘The Antwerp Diamond Night’. The AWDC has supported the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair since its inception in 2010.

“The Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair adventure began seven years ago, in 2009,” Raphaël Rubin, Executive Director of the Antwerp Diamond Bourse, recalls. “Its creation met a long existing demand from the market: an exclusive diamond trade show for international diamond buyers located in Antwerp’s diamond quarter! That is why seven years ago a few Antwerp diamond dealers of a younger generation launched an innovative concept: a ‘niche’ fair, dedicated solely to loose polished diamonds.”

He further added, “The concept of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair (ADTF) proved an immediate and brilliant success, because we established a young, efficient, friendly and very competitive fair that meets the criteria of very busy diamond buyers, whose time is money. Business is concluded securely in a matter of one to two days only within the trading halls of the bourses” Rubin explained.
