10th Signature IIJS rescheduled to four days

The 10th edition of Signature IIJS 2017 dates have been rescheduled citing certain developments in India. The Show will now be held from February 6-9 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The 4th edition of India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) will also be held in conjunction with Signature IIJS on the same dates and at the same venue.

With the preponement of the presentation of the Government’s Union Budget and the prevailing socio-economic market conditions, the National Exhibition Sub Committee of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) decided to reschedule the show date/ timings. The same was informed to the exhibitors. The show was previously reduced from a 4-day to a 3-day event, pursuant to the economic strains in India. But the rescheduling has been arrived at after a discussion through representations by exhibitors from Mumbai and Jaipur, expressing their discontent for curtailment of days of the event and change of dates of Signature IIJS 2017.

Signature IIJS is the prominent platforms showcasing the best of Indian design in jewellery. The IGJME is one of the leading gem and jewellery technology fairs.

After further deliberations with exhibitors at Mumbai and Jaipur, the Council has decided to include in the organization of Signature IIJS, 2017 – changing the dates from 7-9 February to 6-9 February, 2017. Also, the show on all the days for exhibitors will conclude at 9pm, while for visitors, the first three day will end at 8pm and the last day at 6pm. All the booths of IGJME are being re-located to a new location in Hall No. 1 with new Entry and Exit separate from IIJS Signature.

As a concession to visitors impacted by the recent demonetization scenario, Phase 1 of Visitor Registration has been extended up to 31st January 2017 (Phase II of Visitor registration has been withdrawn). The charges for registration fees as per Phase III will be applicable from 1st February 2017.

Signature IIJS will have defined sections of Diamonds, Gemstones, Gold and studded Jewellery. The main highlight of the show is Signature Club showcasing couture jewellery by the leading manufacturers of India.

More than 550 exhibitors, 1000+ stalls, 13000 visitors from 455 + cities, towns, pan India and 55 + countries (9000 visitors pre-registered already) are expected to be seen at the show.

Around 8142 visitors have already pre-registered for the show. The GJEPC has been indulging in heavy road-show promotions and campaigns amongst retailers all over India to inspire a positive response to the show.

Buyer delegations from countries such as UK, Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Lebanon, China, Hong Kong, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal amongst others will be visiting the show. Technology & Educative Seminars are also being organised for the first two days. An exclusive ‘By Invitation Only’ Networking Evening has been organised for exhibitors and buyers to further explore networking.

Signature IIJS, the premier platform for jewellery design in India and the IGJME will begin the buying season in the new year with enthusiasm and positivity.
