IGI Takes the Young Gemologist Workshop to Bhopal

IGI School of Gemology, the educational wing of the International Gemological Institute, IGI India, conducted the 'Young Gemologist' workshop for the students of The Sanskaar Valley School ,Bhopal. The workshop introduced the students to a whole new world of Gemology.

The workshop focused on the formation of diamonds and other precious gemstones. The students got a glimpse of the journey a diamond takes from the mine to the market. The students were fascinated with the various shapes and styles that a diamond takes after it's polished. They were given an opportunity to view the grand structure of a diamond under a microscope and to observe the optical phenomena in polished gemstones. IGI has been conducting the Young gemologist session for students from educational institutions across the country, giving them an opportunity to think beyond the conventional realm of studies and to contemplate on a career in Gemology.
